Switchboard includes a data warehouse. You do not buy one, size one, or operate one.

Storage: the warehouse is included with Switchboard, and holds both the resources your sources deliver and the models built from them.YOUR WAREHOUSE · INCLUDED, MANAGED, EXPORTABLEResourcesDelivered by your sourcesRefreshed on each syncbuildModelsBuilt from your resourcesWhat Documents and Operator readRebuilt on every build run
You do not buy, size, or run a warehouse to use Switchboard. One comes with it, and you can export from it whenever you want.

What it holds

Resources. What your sources deliver. Refreshed on every sync.

Models. What your models build from those resources. Documents, Operator, and Automations all read these. They are rebuilt on every build run.

What you do not have to do

You do not choose a vendor. You do not provision anything. You do not size it, tune it, or scale it. You do not get a separate bill for it.

How you query it

You query the warehouse through Switchboard.

  • Explores build the query for you from a model.
  • Operator writes SQL against your models on request.
  • The SQL scratchpad in the right-hand side panel runs SQL you write yourself.
  • The MCP connection gives Claude the same access.

Switchboard does not currently offer a direct database connection for outside tools.

Getting data out

You can export at any time, in four ways.

  • Download a model.
  • Download the results of a document, or of one block within a document.
  • Download results directly from Operator, or ask Operator to send them somewhere.
  • Build an automation that pushes data out on a cadence.
